Seminary begins shortly. I walked away from a JOB as a professor that paid the bills, helped me accumulate money towards retirement, and guaranted benefits like healthcare.
And now I begin again where I started. I am once again many someone's students. And I will be a teaching assistant, something I did in my first phase of graduate school more than twelve years ago.
I'm not feeling particulalry holy. I don't close my emails with "Blessings." I know the general outlines of the bible but am kind of sketchy on the details. And I think Boondocks is funny.
Why me Lord? And I keep asking that because I am also teaching one class in my area expertise from my old life as a professor.
We shall see what God has in store as enter campus life once again, this time as an M.Div. student at a prestigious white institution.
